The visual impressions on this A4-sized, piece of white paper, were
identified as the following:
- Dutch NS train
- doodle of a tiger
- photograph of a bear in the wild
- christmas decoration, with bells and pine branches
- doodle of Santa Claus

Let’s start with explaining the genre of the song “Blue and Silver Streamlined Product of 1937”. It’s jungle. Jungle is a sub-genre from an electronic dance music genre, called Drum & Bass. The choice of sound came from the visual impressions of the doodle of a tiger and the photograph of a bear. This imagery made me think of wildlife, like in the jungle. Which led to this particular genre. The percussion elements that we experience in “Blue and Silver Streamlined Product of 1937”, are so-called “jingle bells”. These bells resonate the typical sound that most people immediately connect to Christmas feelings. Those Christmas feelings obviously came from the visual impressions of the Christmas decorations, and the doodle of Santa Claus. Lastly, the lyrics of "Blue and Silver Streamlined Product of 1937". These were inspired by the Dutch NS train. The voice that is heard, is from a short documentary called “Building the Coronat Scot LMS Steam Locomotive”, which was released in 1938. It is a documentary about a - at this time - modern steam locomotive.
