What I've learned from this project is using everything (and everybody) I have, to create something that works, in a short amount of time. Once it all comes together, it grows wings and nobody cares what exactly you did. But, in case you do want to know...

First and foremost, it had to be simple, it had to be catchy. Something everybody could sing along to, at the same time setting an atmosphere. I composed it in such way that it could be played as-is, at a party. Which is why I used (mostly) acoustic instruments. Lyric-wise, at first, it was going to be a small-town themed song. Then I decided to use some of the names on the A4 paper (Frank and Kevin) and ultimately decided to just ask the rest of class if they want to be in it and make it more like a college barbecue. So because of that, some comedy was required as well.

The idea was to let everybody (from class) join in for their part in the song, but there were only two people left. In the end, that worked out just fine. "Red Solo Cup" (by Toby Keith) was part of my inspiration in creating this track. Special thanks to Michael L. for helping me out greatly with the lyrics. Thanks to Ben and Janos for being part of the song and thanks to everybody else who's let me use their name in the song!
